Ribbon Cover up...

I thought of this little idea yesterday, but it was only this arvo when I had the chance to put it together and see how it looks...a cover-up using pretty ribbons sewn onto a piece of felt. And even better it is so very simple to make! I have used a glass cannister. It can be used to hold pencils, scissors, flowers...just about anything! This one is going in my sewing room.

All you do is measure your jar or even an unused (clean) Milo can...leaving a small gap at back so you have room to tie your ribbons
I have left 2 ribbons longer for tying a bow at back to hold in place....as shown in pic
I think it would make a great little gift for someone who has everything...the jar could be filled with little biscuits to make an extra special gift.
A few other ideas is decorate the ribbons with a few of your favourite buttons or even a couple of embroidered lazy daisies. Let me know what you think??

    It is a very pretty and quick project. I agree they would make good gifts. They could easily be tailored to different interests and personalities too.

    I just love it. I have a black wire pen holder at work that it would suit well. The only hitch is that I'm sharing my boss' office for the next couple of months during renovations and he may not appreciate it being too girly. I might have to wait till I have my own office back to myself.
