Fabric store help needed please

I have decided that I would like to make Anni Down's Daisy Quilt as in from her Some Kind of Wonderful book(above pic)...and I love the blue and caramel fabric combination that Anni has used but...I have hardly any of these colours in my stash and have been trying to find a craft store to put together a kit but with no luck! Anni has sold out of all her kits. Does anyone know of a craft store that would have these colour fabrics or happily put together a kit?
Any suggestions greatly appreciated!

The Perfect Day!!!

Yesterday was perfect!! A day in my sewing room stiching my Some Kind of Wonderful...determined to have a finished quilt top by the end of the week!

I had to change the cat to a dog other poor Jess and Gypsy would be very offended!lol!

The day was miserable outside with rain and freezing cold! Inside my sewing room was cozy and warm with some music playing...it was perfect. (This pic was taken early this morning)
I starting cooking tea about 4 oclock and had plans for a chocolate self saucing pudding (everyones favourite here) I made the kids hamburgers with egg and onion and cooked mine and hubby tea last...the only problem was the kids had their laptops on the kitchen table...so I decided to set up a table setting just for me and hubby in my sewing room...

My cutting table transformed...lol!

Rocket, Potato Rosti, Scotch Fillet with coconut curry sauce...I really should make up a fancy name for this!lol!

And the Choccy pudding...yum!

I also made the ones that had the munchies a Corn and Chive dip...Which is 250g jar Corn Relish,300g sour cream, few drops tobasco sauce, 2 tablespoons chopped chives and 1/2 cup grated tasty cheese.
Combine all ingredients into a saucepan stir over heat until cheese melts..but do not allow to boil...just use a medium heat! It really is very nice!!
(I didn't add the chives as it was raining outside and didn't want to get wet collecting them!!)

Now I am off to make some Pumpkin Soup for lunch!
Bye For Now!

It is a good day for sewing here...cold and overcast! Very different from our beautiful sunny day yesterday...a taste of Spring!

Plans...

We always seem to be doing some sort of building or garden makeover...life is never boring here! Hubby and I have decided that the room that was once my old sewing room needs a bit of a makeover. It has become a bit of a junk room...and just quietly I still have plastic containers of fabrics from back in my 'country' era. I plan on painting it out (it is now a bright yellow on the walls) having a painted feature wall and hanging my 'Favourite Things' quilt on this wall. (When it's finished..lol) Actually most of the decorating colours will be based on this quilt. I will share updates and progress pics as I go. I am quite excited about all this planning...Oregan ladders to display quilts and blue checked fabric chairs are a couple of things I have so far for the new room

yes...Life is Beautiful!

Another One bites the dust....

Another crochet project completed from my Etsy pattern purchases...I have now made 3 of the 5 patterns, and I am pleased how they have all turned out! I did add a little frill to the bottom of this pincushion...you will see the difference below from pictured on pattern cover.

All 3 made so far

I do love this owl!

Master 13 is quite the champion at making chopping boards now...this is his second one he has bought home from school and he tells me that today he is going for a round one! Lol! But I don't mind at all...I do love chopping boards!!!
Bye For Now...will be back with some more crochet to share soon!

Crochet and cooking...

Tonight whilst we watched a movie I tried out another one of the crochet patterns purchased on Etsy...love these little owls! I am however going to re-do the orange crochet as I can see one spot where I am not completely happy with it...these things seem to stand out more in pics too!

My owl flower has also grown little legs...lol! Didn't notice when taking the photo!

I managed to play with my new Kitchen Aid this weekend...this desert is called Valleyfield sweet

And the pizza dough was also made in the KA...and then rolled out to make a Meat Lovers Pizza...was yum!

I also made a choccy cake today for kids lunches.

Now I had better be off to get some much needed sleep...I have had this cold for a few weeks and it comes with a persistant annoying cough...especially at bedtime!!
Bye For Now!

A New Toy...

I love it when the postie brings good mail...and even better I now get to play with it over the weekend! There are so many trendy colours in the Kitchen Aid mixers, and after alot of thought I decided on the cream.

Now I have to decide what to make first...sweet or savory, cakes or biscuits, bread, foccacia, pizza dough... I have them all on my list to make!

I will be back over the weekend to show what I've made!

Pin Toppers...

Freezing cold here today, so I decided the best thing to do is play with some sculpie next to the heater....it's just ike being back at pre school and playing with play dough! lol! I am pleased how my little flowers turned out, but my little birdie really isn't the greatest! I will have to practice some more with my birdies.

I have purchased some lovely pdf patterns for crochet owls and pincushions, which I plan to have a go at this arvo. I already have soup on the go in the slow cooker for tea and dough in the bread machine for rolls...so I only have to collect the kids from school and the bus stop.
Hope to share some crochet next time!

Playing in the sewing room...

Another cover up made today for my vase, but this one was just made using scraps of fabric and I even left the edges raw...making it super quick to make! Now it hides all those ugly flower stems and floaties that I seem to get in my water!

Bye For Now!
