I thought I had all the paint sorted for the sewing room...an aqua colour called 'Noosa Views' until I started painting the edge of the cornice yesterday...it is a very pretty colour, but also very bright! Another paint colour that I already have is a cream colour called 'Jodpurs'
Maybe if I bring in a recently made favourite cushion to see how it looks (colour samples on wall behind)...but still unsure!
What do you think? Cream (Jodpurs) or Aqua (Noosa Views) Doors, architraves and skirtings will be white. (That I am sure of)Lol!

I have just repainted my sewing room and went for almost white and love it, it is bright, fresh and all my quilting stuff goes well.

It's a very pretty colour but if you think it's too much, why not do a feature wall in the aqua and the remaining walls cream? I have a similar colour combination in our main bedroom and I love it!
Hi Lisa...this is always the hard bit...the blue is pretty, the feature wall recommended by Trace sounds like a nice idea......but go with your gut feeling thats what I do and it is generally the right option...
I think the cream colour, but them use the aqua and do a nice leaf stencil around the windowsill ledge!! That would look awesome, not too much colour, but you still get to enjoy a bit of bright aqua!!!
Cream for the walls and aqua for the trimmings :)
I like the aqua. I think it will set off your lovely fabrics beautifully. The room is going to be fairly full, right? (Gosh! Mine sure is.) So lots of the color will get covered by stuff.

Personally, I would do the cream with the aqua being a feature either in painted baskets, box etc. The cream is dateless and will work with what ever colour is your favourite at the time :-)

I agree with Perri, go with cream on the walls and use aqua just for some details. When we painted the kitchen for the renovation of our new home, 5 months ago, we tried a color very similar to your aqua. When the sun came in, we had a very bright color that hit our eyes, so if you have to work in that room, you will need a calm color to rest your eyes. Now we have our kitchen's wall in a very very light champagne. Good luck, Clara.
If you are still not convinced here's another vote for the cream. We have one feature wall in a dark sort of red and it looks great with the timber blinds but the rest of the house is painted the same colour as the gyprock sheets before we painted. A sandy cream colour and everything looks great on it. You never know when you are going to need a new cushion and you can choose any colour you like to go with the cream walls.
Personally I like the cream. Goes with everything, easy to freshen up with curtains etc, and will give you more accurate light for sewing.
Picking colours is always a nightmare I have so many sample pots of colours I thought I liked. I was going with the feature wall until I read about accessorising with the aqua I thought that was a great idea.
oh I am a safe girl..........go with the cream.........painting is a big job and not fun so you can always change the accessories colours......cream..........I would get sick of the other colour toooooooo quick........
Go with the cream and perhaps a bit of the other as a feature the cream will keep the room lighter sorry about calling you Leanne last time must have had a drop of whisky too many LOL (I dont drink)
That blue is very bright, but by the time you get the furniture in, hang some pictures, some quilts add a design wall and a notice board to pin up ideas and cards, it will be toned down a lot. Go with the blue.
Your sewing room is going to be lovely soon it will be packed to the rafters with all your stuff. I like the cream.
Lovely colours Lisa... I'm a cream kinda girl then you can change your accessories if you get sick of one particular colour or accessories.... Love the Aqua
