Vintage Sewing Box

No sewing at all to show, all my time is taken with the renovations and painting! But I am pleased to say that we are so close to being finished! Hubby was laying some tiles tonight and I only have one more coat of paint to put on the walls and ceiling and the doors (all 9 of them!)
We headed to the big smoke on Friday to purchase a new fridge freezer, and thought I would pop into a vinnies store I hadn't visited before, and found this lovely vintage basket

and for only $6.00 too!

it reminds me of the one my Nan had...and bought back so many memories

I was more excited about my little vintage basket than purchasing a new fridge! lol!

I hope you all have a great weekend

That is a very beautiful sewing box and in your colours too. I can see that it is going to fit in so well with your room.

Hi Lisa, I am green with envy over your Vintage box. My Nan had several...a smaller one in which she kept her beautifully pressed hankies. Thanks for the reminder. It is gorgeous!

Love the basket
I made a box using that technique when i was in Primary school
It is looking a little sad and very very vintage. but it is one of treasured possesions
