Daffodils

I thought I would go and have a look at my daffodils, as I hadn't checked them out in a while...and was quite pleased at the variety of colours. They were planted a couple of years ago, but last year Jess (our golden retriever) would dig them out, so they didn't get a chance to fully flower. I never seem to have much luck with bulbs, as I always seem to dig into them when I'm weeding the garden...but these ones I have in a wine barrel which is much better!

My little blue wren that visits daily, has been without his little partner for a few days now...maybe she's sitting on the nest and we'll have baby wrens visit soon...well that's what I'm hoping!
Bye for Now

Fingers crossed for mrs wren. We've got baby birds in a nest in our backyard at the moment, so we can keep a distant eye on them.

I love daffodils! Yours are lovely!! I wish we could grow them here but it's just way too hot...
I think it's a little too early in the season for eggs as yet, but maybe nest building is happening. Our wrens up here go around in little groups, one male to 3-7 females. They're so cute!

I used to love to look at the daffodil displays at the Royal Show...in fact had I remembered that I may have even tried to go this week, but somehow I do not see the really lovely ones in the catalogs I am using. May have to hunt further.
they are lovely.
