I have been inspired by all the birdies in their cages appearing around blogland at the moment, that I thought I would have a go myself. The cage we already had, I just gave it a coat of 'coffee cream' spray paint, and I have a native dried flower in my garden which I weaved around the door and base of cage...will just give it a varnish later. The birdie pattern is from Homespun No. 87 (Vol 11.8) they are just so easy to make. (This issue also has a pattern to make a bird cage using wire and fabric.)
I hope you are all having a great weekend...it's such a beautiful day here today and even warmer tomorrow...great barbie weather!

I'm so inspired by the cages and birds. My husband thinks they are gross. I wonder if I'll be able to get some hanging around my house?! ;)
