My Old Sewing Room...

I have recently come across some photo's of my old sewing room. This room was once my hubby's workshop, which he plastered out and laid carpet so I could have my own room for sewing. I have to smile as I look back at these pics...everything was very "Country"

The little pot belly heater made it very snug and warm inside!

This room is soon going to soon have a makeover, with a fresh coat of paint and a cabinet I plan to give a makeover. This room has french doors which open out to our outside BBQ and paved area, so it will come in handy when the weather warms up.

A couple of quilts I bought today...factory quilts that I am going to use as mats (sorry pics not very clear)

one for my sewing room and one for the room I am making over

I have decided I would LOVE to make Natalie Birds Quilt from her new book Red Home...and have been going through my stash to find possible fabrics I could use

I have also recently purchased Lynette Andersons 'Stitch It For Christamas'...another beautiful book!
I hope I didn't bore you too much with my old photo's! Lol!
Bye For Now

Always interesting to see a "before and after"! The room looks very warm, even if your new craft room is bright and lovely!
Well..... I can see you're planning lots of things to do! Enjoy your time.

Isn't it fun to look back at older projects and colour schemes. Country style still has it's charm. I wish you would put that basket of fabric in the mail to me - they look perfect for the project.

Isn't it funny how our tastes change over time. I used to love all the country colours but have now moved on to more bright and fresh ones. Your bought quilts are really nice - what a great idea to use them as mats.

Its lovely looking back on old photos, I have taken step by step photos of my new room being built and its fun to look back and just see it used to be part of the garden.
Can you tell me Lisa what kind of heating you have in your current sewing room, we are up to that stage and I was thinking ducted wood heating.

Hello Lisa,

Your room looked so comfy especially having the little fire to stitch by. Your hubby sounds like he is very handy.

Have a wonderful weekend.
