My Sewing Room...

We have started building onto our existing house (at the footing stage at moment)-for WIR, sep-toilet, laundry and sewing room with covered verandah! YAH! But in order to have a sewing room, we had to dismantle our back verandah and remove my rose garden & 2 year old weeping cherry tree. We moved our roses, which I know are pretty tough, but was worried if the weeping cherry would survive the move. But I am pleased to say, I've noticed some buds appear! So all is good!

We have put in a laundry and toilet in our shed (which was my sewing room store-room) next to my sewing room, and on the other side, is the rumpus room, which we lined out before Xmas last year. My sewing room, at present, was hubby's workshop! I do love my little sewing room (especially now with loo next door!) But I feel a bit isolated when I'm sewing of a night time, & out there alone! With my new sewing room, I shall have views of the back garden, weeping cherry, natives, and the birds to watch...which I love to do! So heres a few pics of my little sewing room...

How nice, a sewing room with a view. I am so jealous and green doesn't look good on me.

Wow our stories are so similar.....LOL Husband building on weekends etc. LOL I hope yours does not take as long as mine did. We first had the idea in October last year....and ordered materials in Nov and broke ground in Dec..........It ended up being an 11 month journey. But I guess with the ceiling not being in we are not quite done yet. I am really looking forward to watching yours appear.....how big will it be??
