Gardening and Fabric Choices!

Yesterday was spent putting down red wood chips throughout the garden...on the paths and garden beds. I am really pleased how it looks...especially against the greenery.

Taken from standing under the Weeping Cherry

My little Herb garden, just outside the sliding door of Oregano, Chives, Sage, Parsley and Thyme. As Thyme is the herb I use most, I have quite a few scattered around the garden. Lovely added to sausage rolls and meat patties.

Did you know that Pittosporum (not sure if correct spelling) has a very tiny dainty black flower that the bees love? I only discovered the flowers last year. I could happily spend hours snapping away at the bees on this flower!

I have joined up for the next Stitchalong which is going to be 'My Favourite Things' quilt from Anni Downs new book 'Some Kind of Wonderful'. I am enjoying pulling out a few fabrics and trying to decide on what to use. The one on the left, was purchased for 'Angels Story' quilt and purchased a few years back. Still undecided on what to use as I also have Flower Sugar (not in pic)...decisions decisions! lol! Oh but it is so much fun!

Enjoy your week!

Oh! Both those stacks would be perfect!!! Are they from any particular ranges or just a collection of yumminess?!! I am joining in with this SAL this time. Chooky reccons they'll be a place for me - though I decided that I wanna do it anyway, so even if there isn't a place I'm gonna do it alongside. Have had the pattern for a few months, but been thinking about other things...will be nice to be doing this with others - the encouragement will be helpful too!
Still gotta select my fabrics though.
Looking forward to seeing your version grow as the year goes by!!

Oh, and your garden looks gorgeous! We have a couple of HUGE piles of wood chip mulch ready to be distributed throughout the garden ... just gotta find the motivation! Maybe have to do it in lots of 1/2hr slots!
I applaud you for all you got done so quickly!!! And those herbs and flowers are GORGEOUS!!!
