I borrowed my sons camera (master 10) for these pics. Mine decided it needed a battery recharge, but I quite like playing with his camera, as his has super macro...and mine doesn't as he quite often reminds me!lol!
Unsure of the name of this plant...it has the tiniest hairs all over it! (you can click on image for a closer look) This is my cream mink Protea in bud...anxiously waiting for it to flower

Cool pictures. Your son sounds like mine. Athough, he does not have a big expensive camera, it is better than mine. But he often hints that he would like one like a friend of mine who is a professional photographer. lol

Great pictures.Just think,up north here we have never seen likes of these special plants. But spring is just around the corner now, that is something to be looking forward to :-)
