Flowers in the Meadow...Finished!
I really enjoyed making Gail Pans 'Flowers from the Meadow' from her Baskets in Bloom book. The only trouble I had was when I started to quilt, I had to unpick the stippling as the tension needed to be adjusted, and its not easy unpicking stippling! I just loved the fabric which is 'Simple Abundance' jelly roll which I purchased from Sarah a few weeks back.

Sewing Room Update
Most of the tin is now on the new sewing room, windows are in and the doors are hung ready for me to paint. The next stage is knocking down walls inside our existing house for new bathroom, laundry, toilet and WIR and yes that means a lot of mess! I have finally made the big decision for the wall colour in the sewing room and have chosen 'Noosa Views' Just love this colour!
I got a bit hooked on the crochet motifs. I tried out a few different colours and patterns, so now I have a few to put away for embellishing quilts, scrapbooking etc.

Valentines Day!
Last night I decided to get out the crochet hook and have a play with some little motifs. I quite enjoy doing some crochet, and having a break from the usual hand sewing.
Hubby totally surprised me this morning with this chocolate rose! I had to take a picture of it, so I could look back and know that I wasn't dreaming it! lol!

Chatelaine!
This was last years project from Evandale. A kit for this was provided in our 'goody' bag, but I unfortunately ran out of the fabric, and decided to use calico for the needlebook, and just stitched my initial on it. The stitch around the outside is Glove stitch.
At the moment, I am working on 'Flowers from the Meadow' from Gail Pans 'Baskets in Bloom' book. I purchased the jelly roll 'Simple Abundance' from Sarahs online store. She provides a very promt service and has a fantastic range of fabrics and patterns!

Another old Project!
Not much sewing going on here this week...have been busy covering school books...Yuk! I did offer to make the boys a nice fabric diary cover, but they just looked at me weird...yes I know that just not 'cool'!
So I am showing you an old project that I made at Evandale stitchery day a few years back. A fold up thread bin, designed by Viv Robinson.
