This weeks challenge...Insects!

This weeks snappyfriends challenge is insects....a macro lens would of come in handy for this challenge...but still saving! The blue Salvia is still flowering and the bumble bees are loving it! Bee on a Pincushion flower....
Although you cant't see the moth clearly, I just liked the shape of the wings outlined against the vibrant colour of the Achillea. A bit like we see in stitcheries we do...makes me see how someone like Leanne Beasley draws inspiration from her garden in her designs!
Enjoy your week
Lisa

I think I might get in on this Snappy Friends thing.
I love taking photos and because of the rain up here the 'sects are out in plauges! especially the dragonflies and mozzies (beware ross river fever!)

I loved it when the 'blue-banded' bee came to visit us last summer. Such a loud hum but cute as a button and so fluffy...aparently they love blue flowers!!
Great photos. I would love a macro lens - actually I would love the camera to match LOL!!
