Tilda Birdies

I have recently visited the lovely Shezs blog to find she had received some sweet Tilda birdies in a swap. They were prettily displayed in a vase hanging from some twigs she had gathered, I loved them so much that I really wanted to make some for myself!

Hubby has promised me some better looking twigs as I do get a bit impatient and quickly found some in the garden to display my birdies. I think they make a lovely centre piece on a table or really sitting anywhere!! That's why I'm going to have to make myself some more as I plan on having them as a centre piece on the table for Christmas Day and this lot does look nice in my sewing room. And even better they are also rose scented!

Edit. Bird pattern in Tildas Sew Pretty Christmas Homestyle Book

Enjoy your week

Lisa

Your birds are gorgeous and are a great idea for a Christmas centrepiece. I just wanted to say how much I loved your pincushion pattern in a recent Homespun, I made two for gifts. Wendy

The birds are so beautiful and so are the flowers. It always amazes me that so many patchworkers love their gardens as well. Natures patchwork I think!
