Trying out a new posting app on my iPad...Hope it works out! This little box I had put away for some herbs to go in on my kitchen bench, but I have decided its much better with a few pretty fabrics in my sewing room!

I have also been enjoying some time in the kitchen trying out a new Banana cake recipe...it was so yumm!

I also splurged on a LynetteAnderson designed iPhone case...pretty cute, couldn't resist the one with a chook!

Kitchen...before and after

Hubby worked all weekend on the kitchen and I am so pleased how its looking! Its not until I've seen the before kitchen and how it is now that i see how much it has transformed!
So here is the before...


Very Country...I even had a Chookshed wallhanging on my wall saying 'Kitchen Closed This Chooks Had It' lol!

So much lighter and fresher...I love it and so happy with how it looks now!

Getting back to normal...

well it feels like things are returning back to normal with my posts...i have loaded picasa back onto the laptop, which makes posting so much easier! So heres a few kitchen snaps

Lots happening here, my lap top has arrived back from being fixed, had two trips away so I am hoping that posting will be a bit more frequent now:)

 

 and so pleased i can now write under the photo! lol. I have been baking up a storm and putting my new oven and cooktop to the test. Must admit that the induction cooktop took a bit of getting used to, but I love it now

Its been really cold here and perfect pumpkin soup weather

What I've been doing...

Today I was pleased to finish off my Floral Granny Blanket as I still have my crochet addiction!

We have also been busy with our kitchen Reno...here is the old bench top removed. The new bench tops and cupboards are in and I'm just waiting on the doors, which will hopefully arrive this week:) hope to update again soon!

Crochet...a little more crochet and a little stitching!

It seems the crochet bug has bitten hard, with a little crochet bunny for my daughter for Easter and crocheting a chevron cushion. I am very eager to start another crochet cushion!
I have including a photo of the back of my Copenhagen cushion using a few vintage buttons on the back
Still posting and taking photos with my iPad, and haven't worked out how to add text under the photos.
I forgot to mention my little pincushion (in bottom photo) which is the March project with the stitch a long group...such a cute little project and another lovely Anni Downs design.

Crochet-a-long update

Late Friday afternoon I was feeling quite guilty, with only 2 crochet blocks done toward my Copenhagen pillow Crochet-a-long. All the other girls were going so well and leaving me for dust lol! So I decided I must make more of an effort...
 

before I got busy I thought maybe a cold beverage was in order...



yes that did hit the spot and just what I needed to get stuck into it

My Favourite Photo...

Well here's my missing favourite photo (from previous post) I have been amazed at the quality of photos that my new phone takes...

 

This arrangement came about as a little challenge for myself...to arrange some flowers with what seemed to be very little flowering in my garden...as it turned out I was pleasantly surprised!!!

My sister has created a badge for the crochet-a-long (on my sidebar), so for the ladies who have joined i will email the badge for you to use if you would like........and I will share a post my very slow progress!!!! Pleased we have no rules with this one!lol!
